About Us

Our Leadership

We are a coalition of more than 80 youth-led and youth-serving organizations and networks working together to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights and reach the end of AIDS by 2030. The PACT's leadership structure consists of two executive roles, the Chair and Vice-Chair, and the Leads and Co-Leads of various working groups that guide its priority work. The PACT is also supported and guided by a UNAIDS Adviser, responsible for providing additional support to The PACT coalition and an external Communications Lead.

What we do

The PACT unites youth organizations working at the national, regional and global levels to fight for the sexual and reproductive health and rights of all people.

Our Vision and Mission

We envisage a world where young people are recognised as integral to ending the AIDS epidemic and are engaged as experts in decision-making processes and leaders in programmatic implementation.

Want to join us?

The PACT welcomes youth-led or youth-serving organizations with an intersectional perspective on HIV. It's not necessary for HIV to be the primary focus. Membership is free and offers opportunities for your organization, staff, and volunteers. It also allows you to shape the PACT's strategic agenda and work plans.

Our processes

Advocacy

We Advocate

We advocate and enable youth-led accountability and participation for the integration of HIV into sexual and reproductive health and rights services and policies, including comprehensive sexuality education.

Participation

We participate

We support participation in global, regional and national (including district/city level) decision-making processes around resource mobilization and allocation, to ensure funding for young people in the context of HIV and SRHR.

Strengthening

We strengthen

We strengthen young people’s capacity to change the legal and policy frameworks that prevent young people from accessing HIV and SRHR services.

Mobilisation

We Mobilize

We mobilize young people and engage decision makers to increase access to evidence informed HIV prevention and treatment.

Priority Areas

The PACT is organised around four main workstreams or priority areas

To advocate and promote youth-led accountability and participation in the integration of HIV and SRHR services and policies, including comprehensive sexuality education.

To mobilize young people and engage decision-makers to increase access to evidence-informed HIV prevention and treatment.

To strengthen young people’s capacity to change the legal and policy frameworks that prevent young people from accessing HIV and SRHR services.

To advocate for young people’s participation in global, regional and national (including district and city level) decision-making processes around resource mobilization and allocation, to ensure adequate funding for young people in the context of HIV and SRHR.
