In Tunisia, a meeting called “UNAIDS and Youth: a Pact for Social Transformation” aimed to create a coordinated global youth movement against AIDS. The goal was to end AIDS by 2030 through joint action with youth organizations and the UNAIDS Secretariat.
The meeting brought together 15 youth organizations and 16 UNAIDS Youth Advisory Forum members. Its purpose was to prioritize collaboration and strategic actions to expand the youth AIDS movement.
One significant outcome was “The PACT for social transformation,” a mutual accountability framework led by civil society. It outlined priorities for the youth movement and its collaboration with UNAIDS.
